Getting started

1. Prerequisite

Before onboarding you should make yourself familiar with our anticheat using our documentation and homepage.

Since Polar is quite different from other anticheats, there may be surprises when you first start using it. If you read our documentation thoroughly before proceeding, we can make sure that there won't be any misunderstandings later on.

Quick facts:

• Polar is not a bedrock anticheat (Bedrock players will be ignored)

• Polar prioritizes mitigations over punishments

• Polar's config is more simple compared to other anticheats

• Polar uses cloud servers to offload resource-intensive checks from your system

2. Onboarding

Onboarding is the process of registering your server in our system. All this requires is a Discord account, answering a few questions and a domain you have full control over.

3. Evaluation

All servers that want to use Polar need to meet our requirements. If this your first server with us, you will have to pass our mandatory evaluation process. To begin, please open a ticket on our Discord server.

Before opening a ticket, you can use this checklist to verify that your server meets the minimum requirements for an evaluation:

• Has its own domain

• Working website (store, forums, ...)

• Active Discord server (or other active social media)

• Server with active and established player base

After submitting the evaluation request, we will take our time to review your server and a qualified staff member will make a decision.

If your server is accepted, congratulations, you can proceed to the next step. If your server is not accepted, unless told otherwise, you can usually re-apply once your server meets the requirements specified by staff in the ticket.

4. Before placing the order

If you did not follow Step 1, now's the time to do it. While Polar is an advanced anticheat, please be aware of features or situations that our software might handle differently compared to other solutions.

5. Placing the order

When placing the order, please make sure to provide valid personal/company information. Failing to do so will result in your order not going through and potentially not receiving our product. Once the order has been placed, you can inform our staff in the ticket and we will proceed to the next step of our procedure.

6. Verification

After you placed your order, we will take up to 24 hours to review your order. This can only be done by an administrator.

This scenario is uncommon, but we do provide full refunds if your server gets rejected at this stage.

7. Setting up the anticheat

If your order was activated and you've made it to this step, you are now a customer of Polar Anticheat.

You can download the Polar loader plugin from the customer area. After you've obtained the file, you can move it into your plugins folder and reboot your server.

If you are not an Enterprise customer, you will need to accept the new hardware in the customer area and reboot your server. Polar should boot after that.
